CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  1. New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  2. New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program. 
  3. The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
  4. This position is a Cooperative Agreement position.
  5. As a CANDIDATE, you are required to provide documentation (i.e., High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.
  6. Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited College or University with a major in Civil Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering or Architecture AND Two (2) years of experience in the field of Building Construction; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University with a major in Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering or Architecture AND Three (3) years of experience in the field of Building Construction; OR
  • An Associate's Degree from a College or University with major coursework in Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering or Architecture AND Five (5) years of experience in the field of building construction; OR
  • A High School Diploma AND Seven (7) years of experience in the field of Building Construction

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide Assistance to the Armory / Facility Managers

  • Assist in developing Scope of Work (SOW) – Level I & II Procurement (up to $65,000.00)
  • Assist in obtaining quotes – Level I & II Procurement (up to $65,000.00)
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) assistant
  • Identifies and maintains log of responsive vendors within the Region
  • Reviews proposal for accuracy and cost– Level I & II Procurement (up to $65,000.00)
  • Inspect completed work– Level I & II Procurement (up to $65,000.00)
  • Assist with Warranties – Scheduled required inspections and enforcement

 

Perform Facility Inspections

  • Conduct Quarterly Facility Inspections with Armory / Facility Managers
  • Develop and Provide Quarterly Reports for Required Preventative Maintenance; Routine, Maintenance; Routine Repairs

 

Provide Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) Operational Support 

  • Conduct ISR–Infra Structure and BUILDERS Sustainment Management System assessments
  • Perform Field Inspections for Project Managers
  • Support the Electronic Security System (ESS) branch – Intrusion Detection System (IDS) only
  • Promote the Safety Program
  • Promote the Energy Conservation Awareness Program
  • Make field observations and submits reports to the Facility Management Branch Chief.
