We are seeking a passionate public health professional to join our Community Health Division who enthusiastically embodies our organization's mission, vision, and values.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work with Maternal and Child Health initiatives for Manatee County. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating health promotion programs including workplan development, implementation, and reporting.
  • Serving on community coalitions and collaborating with partners 
  • Managing and attending community outreach events for the Community Health Division
  • Developing and distributing health promotion education

This position requires occasional travel and some weekend and evening hours. Position activities may occur before, during, and after regular working hours or on weekends or holidays. This position is not limited to these job responsibilities as it serves as a guideline with the understanding that job responsibilities may be added, revised, or removed as needed.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and present presentations.
  • Ability to build and manage community partnerships.
  • Ability to develop and manage programs and projects.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to research, collect and analyze data, and prepare reports.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Knowledge of public health principles.

 

Qualifications include:

  • At least one year of experience in health promotion or implementing public health programs.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Haitian Creole (preferred)
