ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional to moderate travel required. Position may respond to emergencies, including natural disasters or other type incidents requiring travel, as needed.

Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

NOTES: 

The anticipated hiring salary for this position is $11.37 hourly.

The average hours for this position will be 20 per week.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for the maintenance of one or more recreation areas. Responsibilities include enforcement of all rules and regulations, mowing grass, working with and serving as project lead for volunteers, cleaning restrooms, policing the area for litter, performing light repairs (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.) removing hazardous trees, keeping restrooms supplied with soap, towels, etc., assisting with garbage pickup and other tasks as required. The park ranger also assists other personnel in making improvements on recreation areas.

Individuals in this position perform special periodic duties including assisting with prescribed burning, enforcing recreation area rules and regulation forest-wide and coordinating recreation areas for special events.

Performs other duties as assigned.
