This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Sumter Correctional Institution.
Salary: $33,760.00
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a support position assigned to Institutional Support and reports directly to the General Services Specialist. The incumbent will be providing administrative and logistical support for Institution Mailroom and Warehouse.
- Oversees and maintains the daily operation of the Mailroom. This includes, but is not limited to, the receipt of commodities from institutions and completion of proper paperwork for receiving and issuing commodities.
- Processes incoming and outgoing inmate and Institutional mail, reviews Admissible Reading material, processes inmate grievances, logs incoming Legal Mail, forwards inmate mail to other facilities.
- Assists with supervision of inmate workforce as it relates.
- Responds to inmate requests and grievances as applicable. Oversees monthly free letter request process, and generates and distributes monthly inmate bank statements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highchool diploma or its equivalent.
