Working Hours – This position is assigned to the night shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Flexibility in hours may be required routinely during the administrative shift (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm) to meet the needs of the facility.

APD’s DDDP Overview

DDDP is a forensic facility working with individuals with disabilities in a secure setting.  These individuals have been adjudicated by the courts as incompetent to proceed to trial and have significant behavioral and psychiatric issues.  DDDP provides rehabilitative, vocational, and daily living skills training to the individuals served, which allows for a smooth transition back into a non-secure residential or community setting.  

 

SALARY RANGE

 $35,000 -$50,000 annually

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal incumbent must be motivated with ability to work independently to perform assignments with minimal supervision.  The incumbent must interact courteously with others.  The work requires proficiency in managing operations, auditing the accuracy of implementation and documentation of program, developing and managing schedules, leave and attendance, mentoring, documentation for corrective action etc.  Candidates shall have knowledge of organizational practices and procedures to work from general instructions to adapt and apply knowledge and recommend and execute solutions to problems of a specialized or general nature.  Employees must use initiative and creative planning in devising new methods and approaches to solve problems. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Four (4) or more years of professional experience in healthcare administration, behavioral science, criminal justice with duties related to managing operations.
  •  OR
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a closely related field may substitute for years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience in a forensic or residential treatment facility.

• Experience specific to managing schedules, leave, and attendance monitoring, or employee relations corrective actions

•              Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

 

Additional Requirements for This Position

  • Certification in the Agency’s Crisis Prevention and Intervention Program. Advanced training may be required.
  • A pre-employment and annual TB screening.
  • Annual CPR Certification.

Background Screening Requirement
