This position with APD will serve staff and management across the Agency. We are dedicated to empowering persons with developmental disabilities charged with a felony crime to acquire the skills needed to become competent to stand trial, and to acquire the skills and supports that will prepare them for success in their future environments.
DDDP/Pathways is a residential forensic setting serving persons with disabilities. The program has locations in Chattahoochee, Florida and Marianna, Florida. Position headquarters is Chattahoochee, Florida.
WORK SCHEDULE - Monday through Friday
Position Summary
The incumbent of this position serves as a member of the DDDP/Pathways Senior Leadership Management Team. This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction for day-to-day operations of all programmatic activities to ensure l programs are evidence-based and designed to bring about a return to court or to prepare residents for transition into a lesser restrictive setting.
Responsible for planning, directing and facilitating all aspects of programs including trial competency, rehabilitation therapy and vocational training programs to foster and advance skill acquisition to prepare residents to live, learn and work in the community.
Provides leadership and overall direction to ensure that leisure program and activities are planned and deployed on evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of verifiable work experience in progressively responsible role in any of the following: behavioral health or treatment programs, conducting program evaluation, tracking productivity and outcome measures, or policy development and implementation, curriculum development of evidence-based practices.
A bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an allied health field; one of the behavioral or rehabilitative sciences, music therapy, music education, or music, instructional design, physical education with course work in adaptive physical education, vocational education, sociology; trades and arts education, industrial arts education, leisure studies with course work in therapeutic recreation, or horticulture therapy may substitute for work experience.
Supervisory experience – preference of three or more years of supervisory experience.

Other job-related requirements for this position:
Certification in the agency approved crisis prevention and intervention program is required. Incumbent is required to submit to pre-employment TB screening and on an annual on-going basis as prescribed by DDDP.
This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035. This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
