Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is a full-time year-round staff member that requires some evenings and weekends.

This position requires a highly energetic individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in public speaking.

The incumbent of this position works collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including educational institutions, community organizations, and other state agency partners to guide the implementation of education strategies as requested by the Violence Prevention and Injury Prevention program.

The incumbent of this position leads the development and execution of outreach strategies to expand the outreach of public health programs and services in the community. Plans and implement community events, health education workshops, initiate and support cross-sector collaborations with local partners to advance initiatives in Washington and Holmes County.

 

  • Creates and manages program budget
  • Conducts all programmatic purchases. Receives goods and creates a receiving report in MFMP within 3 business days of receipt of goods. Process all invoices withing 3 days of receipt of invoice in My Florida Marketplace (MFMP). Obtains quotes, proofs, and maintains a clear and constant line of communication with vendors throughout the purchasing process, and updates purchasing tracking form daily.
  • Prepares program materials for community projects including sign-in sheets, packing list for events, and any other educational information and materials needed for the completion of program activities.
  • Supports the overall department to plan and implement outreach within the community and schools.
  • Collects activity documentations for all program activities assuring appropriate documentation is received in accordance with the workplan and state requirements.
  • Prepares and submits monthly and quarterly activity and financial reports following state and local guidelines
  • Works under the general supervision of the Operations & MGMT Consultant II, the incumbent of this position will perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor as well as cross train.

 

 Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
  • Knowledge of the principles of human behavior, learning, and communication.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of training or instruction.
  • Knowledge and experience on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  • Ability to train individuals or groups of people. 
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze training data. 
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques. 
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to training functions.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of written training materials such as lesson plans, curricula, performance evaluations or reports.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required - high school diploma or equivalent
  • Required – valid driver’s license
