Job Overview:                                                                                                                                                                     
The Law Offices of Public Defender Sara Mollo, Sixth Judicial Circuit, is seeking a STAC Clerk to join our team. The STAC Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support within the Law Offices of Public Defender Sara Mollo, Sixth Judicial Circuit. This position focuses on the accurate entry, maintenance, and coordination of case information in our case management system (STAC). The STAC Clerk works closely with attorneys, investigators, and support staff to ensure that client and case data is properly recorded and updated, supporting the office’s mission to provide effective legal representation to indigent clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update case information into the STAC system with accuracy and timeliness.
 - Review case documents, discovery materials, and court records to verify data consistency.
 - Maintain organized electronic and physical case files in compliance with office policies and confidentiality standards.
 - Generate reports, case lists, and statistical summaries as requested by attorneys and supervisors.
 - Communicate with court personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other offices to obtain or verify case-related information.
 - Assist with the preparation and processing of case documentation, including motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
 - Perform general clerical duties such as opening, filing, scanning, copying, and answering phones.
 - Support attorneys and staff by managing caseload tracking and ensuring all STAC data reflects current case statuses.
 - Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion.
 
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
 - Strong computer skills, including proficiency in data entry and use of database systems.
 - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
 - Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain confidentiality.
 
Preferred:
- Experience working in a legal, government, or criminal justice setting.
 - Knowledge of legal terminology and criminal court procedures.
