PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER A-SES

Healthcare for the Homeless Mobile Medical Unit 

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for managing the Mobile Medical Unit and Street Medicine Programs. The incumbent will be responsible for:

 

  • Serve as the back-up driver for the Mobile Medical Unit and the Street Medicine Van
  • Able to build and foster relationships with community partners
  • Able to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Supervising, recruiting, training, motivating, monitoring, evaluating, counseling & discipline of staff
  • Evaluates staff performance through direct observation, audits, and individual conferences
  • Provides and coordinates ongoing training for dental staff. Distributes program information to staff and ensures implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Plans workloads, workflow, deadlines, and time utilization
  • Coordinates staff leave schedules to ensure continuation of service delivery
  • Monitors the capacity and demand and evaluates the productivity of all assigned staff
  • Completes various reports, participates in meetings and special projects as assigned  
  • Ensures all clients and visitors are treated with dignity and respect and that staff provide excellent customer service  
  • Protects clients right to privacy  
  • Performs all department functions as needed during peak hours or high demand and to cover staffing shortages

  • Skill in coordination of services
  • Skill in computer software programs used to facilitate job duties

Qualifications:

 

Minimum - 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5 or more years of supervisory experience

 

Preferred - 

  • Program management experience
  • Experience working with the homeless population
  • Experience working within a public health and/or FQHC setting
