This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at the Region 3 Maintenance Office in the Maintenance Department.

The mission of Facilities Management and Building Construction at the Florida Department of Corrections is to provide a safe, secure, and efficient environment for staff, inmates, and visitors. This is achieved through the effective management, maintenance, and construction of correctional facilities, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and support the department's overall mission of public safety and rehabilitation.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

 

JOB DUTIES:

This is a highly advanced position requiring at least one year of professional work experience in managing project budgets and contract management. The position is responsible for managing, overseeing, and updating project PR’s and budgets. This position is responsible for managing all contracts for regional facilities and completing operation reviews. 

1. Develops work plans, budgets, and schedules; manages contracts and bid processes. 

2. Submits purchase requests (PRs), monitors expenditures, and maintains maintenance and construction projects budgets. 

3. Conducts facility visits to review and resolve maintenance issues. 

4. Reviews and approves invoices; coordinates audits and ACA preparation. 

5. Performs operational reviews of regional facilities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least one (1) year of professional work experience with project budgets.
  • Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A valid driver’s license
