Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Hendry Counties
(DOH-Hendry), represents the agency, its mission, and values. This is a sensitive position responsible for providing primary care services to Ryan White HIV/AIDS clients in line with the Health Resources and Services Administrations (HRSA) HIV Care Continuum: (1) diagnosis of HIV, (2) linkage to HIV medical care, (3) lifelong retention in HIV medical care, (4) appropriate prescription of ART, and, ultimately, (5) HIV viral load suppression. Incumbent will be responsible for providing and documenting services in accordance with current ARNP professional practice standards, evidencebased standards, and medical treatment guidelines in consultation with supervising physician. In addition, the incumbent will play an integral role in the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) program, ensuring clinic HRSA Work Plan grant deliverables are met or exceeded, HRSA site visit preparation, and data collection and entry, including, monitoring of trends. Position also supervises the Ryan White HIV medical team. Position reports directly to the Community Health Nursing Director and is headquartered in LaBelle. Certain immunizations and TB testing may be required.

o Medicine related to evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of adult primary care clients, with supplemental understanding and knowledge of HIV, STI, PrEP, family planning, and communicable disease diagnosis, control, and treatment.
o Knowledge of the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases of public health significance, prevention of diseases of environmental origin, prevention of injuries, promotion of healthy behaviors, response to disasters and assistance in the recovery, and providing access to health care.
o Skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient
