Salary Rate: $18.00 Hourly – maximum of 29 hours weekly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, schedule, implement and coordinate supervision for Chaplaincy activities.

Provide pastoral care for youth and staff.

Conduct worship services and religious education classes for youth.

Maintain records and submit reports to supervisor.

Assist in planning and administering local activities.

Prepares and conducts religious services for youth or other individuals.

Interviews and counsels' youth on a variety of subject matters.

Coordinate activities of youth, or other individuals.

Perform related work as required. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to:

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to conduct a variety of religious services and activities.

Ability to counsel.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Ability to follow instructions, rules, and procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work activities.

Ability to provide counseling or guidance to others.

Ability to work with youth in secure detention.

Knowledge of:

Knowledge of computer software.

Knowledge of counseling and interviewing techniques.

Knowledge of theological theories, philosophies, and systems.

Knowledge of theology, religion, or one of the social or behavioral sciences. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Must have proof of faith-based training.

Must possess a current written approbation or endorsement by the appropriate official of the ecclesiastical body.

Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses), and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
