MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent.
Possession of a valid Driver License.

- Moderate travel, including overnight and sometimes up to two weeks on an emergency program, required.
NOTES:
- The work schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

JOB DUTIES:
General Statement: This is a technical position responsible for the detection and eradication of exotic, invasive mollusks (snails).
- Surveying residential, commercial, natural and agricultural areas for the presence of exotic, invasive mollusks (snails). Additional duties also require the application of treatment baits, removal of lawn debris (remove possible hiding spots) and inspect regulated entities.
- Completing and maintaining written or electronic records of field activities, specimen submission forms, time and attendance reports, monthly vehicle reports, conducting weekly vehicle safety checks.
- Other related duties as directed by Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of basic computer usage on desktop and mobile devices, which includes sending email, accessing agency databases, and using common business software.
- Skill in completing and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to recognize invasive, exotic snails which must be collected by hand from other established/native snails.
- Ability to interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to maintain good communication with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal.
- Ability to read and draw basic maps and to locate properties using street and geographic maps.
- Ability to adapt to changes such as field operations, weather, schedule, etc.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and bend repetitiously.
- Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and humid environments.
- Ability to walk on uneven ground and in inclement weather.
