Your Specific Responsibilities:
The position serves as the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and works under the general supervision of the Executive Comm Health nursing Dir-SES, position 64041085, Clinical Services and provides professional support and technical assistance to the staff, community agencies, and the general public. This position will be required to perform duties at mulitple sites within the county to include, but not limited to, Florida Department of Health in Volusia County locations as well as sites established/co-located within the community in conjunction with community partners. The employee is expected to arrive at assigned location (daily) on time at the provided start time. Mileage will not be paid for travel to different service site locations within the county.
This position is a full-time advanced practice nursing position and must be able to perform independently with the primary responsibility to perform specialized and comprehensive care in Family Planning. In addition, must be able to assess, diagnose and treat STD diseases and related conditions. The incumbent may also be required to cover TB, Refugee Health and Immunizations as needed. Work is performed under the supervision of the County Health Department Senior Physician.

Knowledge of nursing and public health principles, practices and techniques
knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy and physiology
Skilled in performing uncomplicated surgical procedures
Ability to identify and evaluate illness
Qualifications:
Minimum -

Must be currently licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida and have 1 years nursing experience

Hold current BLS certification
