Your Specific Responsibilities:
Internship and Volunteer Program
The incumbent will assist in the establishment and maintenance of Memorandum of Agreements with universities to provide intern opportunities for students. They will assist in documenting workforce development activities, maintain accurate records, and provide timely statistical and activity reports on student and volunteer participation. They will also assist in developing and managing student/volunteer workforce development policies, procedures, and standards, and develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer initiatives within Volusia County and Florida. Additionally, they will assist with facilitation of the evaluation of DOH Volusia student volunteer workforce development programs to ensure effectiveness and to recommend and/or implement changes as appropriate.
Outreach
The incumbent will assist in managing the internal outreach calendar; adding outreach events received from community partners via the webmaster and from internal staff. They will follow up with community partners and staff regarding event participation, ensure staff participating in events have the outreach materials needed to reach the targeted audience. The incumbent will attend outreach events including those on nights and weekends as needed or directed that are in the best interest of the agency and provide material to the community on services provided at the CHD.
Program Support
The incumbent will provide support to Community Health programs as directed by the supervisor to include but not limited to the Injury Prevention program. Providing support to the Safe Kids Volusia Flagler Coalition, the incumbent will be responsible for the meeting minutes, scheduling and coordinating meetings and outreach events and will conduct presentations on Safe Kids and injury prevention programs to a wide range of audiences. The incumbent will also provide support to the Healthy Communities program. Assisting to plan and implement programs to promote healthy behaviors and reduce chronic disease through education, community outreach and collaborative partnerships.
Purchasing
The incumbent will assist with the facilitation of the purchasing process for Community Health programs including School Health, Healthy Communities, OD2A, Injury Prevention and MCH. The incumbent will prepare and coordinate ordering of supplies, obtaining required quotes necessary for ordering, preparing, and submitting blanket purchase orders. Functions as the liaison between the purchasing department and vendors to facilitate orders. ls trained
in the My Florida l\4arketplace System. Responsible for delivery of all supplies to programs in a timely manner.
Other Related Duties as Assigned
Attends and participates in staff development and regularly scheduled department staff meetings. Prepares and submits weekly EARs reports, bi-weekly timesheets, and time summaries according to established local agency procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum -
Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
Must be willing to work some nights and weekends to attend outreaches and events
Must have experience with Microsoft Office
Must be willing to physically come in the office daily and perform field work
Preferred -
Experience working in an outreach setting, providing educational presentations to the public
Contract management experience
