Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a supervisory position performing a wide variety of operational functions including managing maintenance and housekeeping functions for all Florida Department of Health Walton (FDOH Walton) facilities.  This position is identified as sensitive position and will handle task involving financial trust and confidential information. Adheres to information security policies and procedures and key custodian for assigned areas. Responsible for the supervision of staff Including appraisals, planning, and directing their work, approving leave, having the authority for hiring, and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions. This position is under the direct supervision of the Distributed Comp Systems Analyst.

Supervision: Supervises direct reports including motivating, training, providing guidance, and direction. Develops expectations and meets with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, and discipline action, if needed.  Maintains vacation and work schedules to ensure proper coverage and completes timesheets.  Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional training to support growth and development. 

General Services:  Facilities Management:  Responsible for FDOH Walton facilities management and the overall maintenance of FDOH Walton facilities including grounds maintenance. Set cleaning standards and schedules, conducts inspections to insure facility cleanliness. Ensures maintenance and housekeeping supply inventory is adequately maintained to support the operations of all facilities. Assigned Safety Coordinator for the agency. Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment, following agency policies and procedures, ensuring safety inspections are completed according to policy. Acts as Champion for CHD Safety Team and performs functions according to policy. Stays abreast of procedures for handling bio-medical waste and ensures subordinate staff are properly trained in the management and handling of bio-medical waste.

Purchasing: Provides direct support to Operations section to successfully and timely procure goods and services. Consults with programs to successfully complete inter-office requisitions, MFMP requisitions and purchasing card purchases. Completes purchasing trainings and reviews rules and regulations as applicable for purchasing compliance.  Communicates with all programs regarding changes to purchasing requirements. Monitors State Term Contract and Alternate Contract Source information on a regular basis to keep abreast of current/expired purchasing contract and agreements.  Assigned Purchasing Card responsibilities and reconciles charges in WORKS system timely.

Records Management Liaison: Responsible for documenting and managing stored records for FDOH Walton.  Responsible for the tracking and organization of the confidential records section of the warehouse. Provides training on records retention to FDOH Walton departments, programs, and staff. Researches and educates staff with assigning retention values to records. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of stored records and insuring records are disposed of properly. Will complete at a minimum one records destruction per fiscal year.

FISCAL: Maintains FDOH Walton’s property inventory and ensures annual inventory is completed each fiscal year. Assigns property numbers to assets and maintain log of assets and property numbers. Prepares and submits surplus inventory disposition requests to Walton County Board of County Commissioners or State of Florida property following retention guidelines. Maintains property inventory, coordinates, and conducts annual inventory of property for FDOH Walton and submits to FDOH Walton Business Manager/ with assigned personnel. May be required to transports deposit to bank as needed when not preparing the daily deposit and may transport mail to post office on an as needed basis. Provide travel guidance and support for assigned staff.  Stays abreast of travel rules and travel payment system.

Other related duties: Participate with teams/committees to support FDOH Walton’s functions, programs, and Strategic Plan. Models the ICARE values while performing work with internal and external customers.  Completes Employee Activity Records daily.  Assist with other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Microsoft Suite – Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel including ability to create, and format excel spreadsheets. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others. Ability to work quickly and accurately. Records Management knowledge. Ability to supervisor people. Ability to maintain the cleanliness of buildings and grounds.  Ability to determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Supervisory experience, , maintenance experience.
