The Work You Will Do:
Consultant Inspection Project Manager - District Five / Structures & Facilities
This position will be tasked to provide management of projects and their related administrative activities involving safety inspections of in-service structures, including bridges and ancillary structures of the Agency’s highway system.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Perform project management duties for inspection contracts. Monitor the work program budget for inspection contracts. Coordinate with consultants and others to meet the inspection requirements. Maintain communication with the bridge owners and maintaining agencies.
Serves as a liaison and/or advisor to management, staff, consultants and government agencies on matters related to structures inspection. Participate in the Feasible Action Review Committee (FARC) meetings.
Manage the District Structures Maintenance Electronic Data Management System (EDMS).
Performs Quality Assurance Reviews to inspections performed by consultants according with the District Quality Control Plan.
Manage the District Local Government and Ancillaries Structures location maps and inspection file records.

- Bridge and ancillary structure inspection standards.
- Construction inspection program.
- Working with current computer software at an intermediate level.
- Reading and interpreting plans.
- Prioritizing work loads.
- Customer service techniques.

- Due to the nature of this position, incumbent must respond to emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED and 12 months experience in bridge inspection, bridge repair, bridge or highway construction, bridge or highway design and/or contract administration.
