MMS/RCI Coordinator/District Five/District Maintenance/DeLand Maintenance

 

This position will review the performance of planned work with Field Supervisors and Maintenance Manager/Field Operations while comparing actual performance with the performance standards.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Review performance of planned work with Field Supervisors and Maintenance Manager – Field Operations considering adjustments necessary to handle unforeseen circumstances. Reviews recorded data and compares actual performance with the performance standards. Prepare graphs, charts, reports for special projects, such as overtime, annual resource plan, etc., as directed by the Maintenance Program Engineer and staff. Perform work in accordance with the performance standards listed in the Maintenance Management Manual.

 

Updates the Roadway Characteristics Inventory and submits revisions to District Maintenance Management Systems Manager for review and further processing.

 

Serves as the facility maintenance coordinator. Responsible for managing the facilities contracts and for the coordination of facility maintenance, including repair of facility building and equipment. Maintains proper documentation to support all facility maintenance actions. Processes vendor invoices as needed.

 

Reviews crew reports to ensure proper recording of work accomplished by maintenance crews. Serve as the primary point of contact for the special project numbers during storm events and governor declared emergencies.

 

Recommends necessary steps to improve future performance through evaluation of crew work methods and then makes recommendations to the Maintenance Manager – Field Operations for training needs. Performs studies with the District Maintenance Management Systems Manager and Central Office personnel as necessary 

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of and the ability to understand and implement the policies and procedures pertaining to the maintenance management system; knowledge of and the ability to perform evaluations of crew work methods; knowledge of safe work practices and procedures. Knowledge of and the ability to review crew reports to ensure proper recording of work accomplished by maintenance crews. Knowledge of invoice processing and record-keeping techniques

 

Skills in:

  • Skills in reviewing the recorded data to compare actual performance with the performance standards; skill in the use of a personal computer and department software such as database programs; skill in the accurate entry of data into department databases. Ability to continually update the roadway characteristics inventory. Ability to oversee and administer contracts.

 

Ability to:

  • Ability to plan, prepare, and present information to a large group using PowerPoint. Ability to serve on various task teams and committees effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other work groups within the department and other state agencies. Ability to work with area engineers in reviewing the performance of planned work as scheduled according to performance standards.

Due to the nature of this position, incumbents must respond to emergencies. Valid Class E Driver’s License required

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency and Class E Driver's license.

 

This position requires a valid Class (E) driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Department’s Driver’s Record Requirements Policy. An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following:

  1. three (3) or more moving violations in the past three (3) years that accumulate three (3) or more points per violation.
  2. any two (2) convictions of reckless driving in the past three (3) years;
  3. a suspension or revocation of the driver license for moving violations in the past three (3) years; and
  4. a suspension or revocation for refusal to take a sobriety test, or any suspension or revocation for a DUI conviction, in the past four (4) years.

 

Your driving record will be reviewed and the status of your driver’s license confirmed.
