Position Number: 64910121, Position Title: OPS Government Operations Consultant II

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance awareness of prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts in response to Opioid Use Disorders (OUD) and substance use disorders (OUD/SUD).

Facilitate Opioid Taskforce, engaging with community partners, stakeholders, and community to increase awareness of OUD/SUD, treatment resources and lead efforts to reduce opioid overdoses in Clay County.

Provide Academic Detailing with area Controlled Substance Registration licensed prescribers on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention best practices for opioid prescribing, relevant laws and regulations, and OUD/SUD resources in the community. Explain evidence-based opioid prescribing for acute and chronic pain, prescribing medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) usage. Maintain up to date knowledge of topics regarding substance use, such as prescribing MOUD, understanding applicable state regulations, and PDMP usage.

Participate in the coordination of sharing information among the dedicated Clay County Fire Rescue Paramedicine Program and Clay Behavioral Health Center.

Prepare presentations and updates on academic detailing to community partners and other opioid taskforce stakeholders.

Documents all contacts and services provided through service activity notes/logs, attendance rosters, daily log sheets, or other tracking forms; provides updates; completes tracking forms daily.

Engages the community through attendance at community events and membership on local coalitions/consortium groups advocating for substance use disorder education and information dissemination within the community.

Provides community members with information about opioid and drug addiction issues and services through outreach which may include weekends and at special events. Educate on evidence-based and accurate substance use disorder education to individuals, groups, and organizations.

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings and trainings. Conduct overdose prevention and training within local community settings.

Provides assistance with outreach, engagement, referrals, warm hand-offs, and care coordination services for individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders.

Develop networks with external stakeholders and service providers to increase access to community-based resources.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•           Ability to use Microsoft applications to analyze data and create reports.

•           Knowledge of FDOH policies and procedures.

•           Understand the Community Health Improvement framework and processes.

•           Understand Community Health Assessment and Prioritization processes.

•           Ability to lead, develop, and support group projects.

•           Skilled at identifying leads from external agencies and engaging community partners to achieve a common goal.

•           Ability to facilitate workgroup meetings with external and internal partners.

•           Understand and ability to interpret data and effective use of findings.

Qualifications:

Minimum –

Must be proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Must have six (6) months of experience facilitating meetings and monitoring measurable objectives. 

Must have minimum of an associate’s degree from an accredited college.

Must have Valid state driver’s licenses.                                                                                                             

Preferred –

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
