INTERNAL AGENCY OPPORTUNITY
This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in community health events and outreach activities to promote Florida KidCare Health and Dental Insurance Program for children. Collaborate with outreach team to plan local marketing outreach activities, and participate in public relations activities such as television and radio appearances, and community events as assigned.
Provide customer service via answering (954) INSURES line and assisting consumers with the KidCare application process. Will serve as the local source of customer service information for the community based organizations and consumers in Broward County. Will answer incoming calls, retrieve messages, return calls, assist with online applications and resolving technical issues.
Coordinate and facilitate Florida KidCare educational presentations to the community and child-service agencies in Broward County.
Assist Program Manager in stocking and distributing KidCare Program materials at places of business, child serving community organizations, schools, childcare providers, and Civic leaders. (applications, brochures, promotional items, and other information). Mail or hand deliver these materials as requested.
Serve as the local client advocate for families, via phone or in person, for the identification of Florida KidCare issues. Refer such issues to the appropriate Florida KidCare Program Office and complete an Outreach Sheet as needed
Responsible for maintaining data logs of incoming calls, client’s services, applications submitted, events attended and updating information into a database.
Participate in all program activities hosted or attended by the department and Program Manager.
Assist Program Manager with local advisory committee, known as KidCare Partners Taskforce, which is responsible for planning and assessing KidCare outreach activities performed in Broward County. .
Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFITIONS :
- Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours, or days in the event of an emergency.
- Current employee of Florida Department of Health employees, (includes OPS, Career Service, SES or SMS employees).
- Experience with answering 954 INSURES line.
- Experience conducting community outreach with Florida Kidcare Program.
- Valid driver's license free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes and a willingness to drive to multiple sites as required by program needs.
- Able to work evenings and weekends as determined by program needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of (1) one years' experience conducting community outreach with Florida Kidcare Program .
- Experience facilitating community presentations.
- Experience working with Federal Eligibility Programs.
- Experience working with social service programs.
- Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish or English/Creole
