SCHOOL BASED SEALANT PROGRAM

OPEN COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITY 

 

This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County. 

This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) positions and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment.  OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.

 POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the review of consent form from clients for the School Based Sealant Program. The position requires maintenance of unique records, files, reports, patient records, and related correspondence to schools or parents. This position requires the employee to be detail oriented and notate any missing information. Serves as the screener for consent forms for clients.

 

1. Keep all consent forms, packets, necessary forms organized in alphabetical order by school and grade.

2. Review the necessary documents for a child to participate in the program.

3. If any documentation is missing, the employee must feel comfortable to call and speak with the school contact or the parent of the child to retrieve missing information in a professional manner.

4. Assist parents or school contacts with any general questions they may have regarding the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Willing to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours, or days in the event of an emergency.

2. Valid driver's license, free of major infractions and access to an automobile to be utilized for work purposes.

3. One (1) or more years of experience with customer service in a dental or medical office setting.

4. One (1) or more years of experience with strong communication skills making calls to clients.

5. One (1) or more years of experience utilizing Microsoft software, e-mails, scanner, and other office equipment.

6. One (1) or more years of experience handling confidential patient information.

7. One (1) or more years of filing experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bilingual, fluent in English/Spanish or English/Creole.

2. One (1) or more years of experience evaluating medical forms.

3. Associate degree or higher.
