This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

This is a highly responsible position in the Broward County Health Department AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), at the Fort Lauderdale Health Center and Paul Hughes Health Center, under the supervision of the Operations & Management Consultant I-SES. Incumbent conducts Ryan White Part B Core eligibility and ADAP duties and responsibilities in accordance with the ADAP Assistance Manual. This position is designated as sensitive and is required to maintain confidential information in accordance with the DOH (Department of Health) Security and Privacy Policy and the Broward County Health Department Information Security and Privacy Procedures.

 

Conducts Part B Core eligibility interviews and ADAP enrollments. Screens for financial eligibility (household income), reviews and interprets medical laboratory reports, files necessary documents including waivers and drug exemptions. Provides clients with Notice of Eligibility and Ineligibility as applicable. Sets up and maintains client files including scanning all documents, registering and updating client data in PE (Provider Enterprise), HMS and CareWare/RW Portal. Responsible for entering labs into ADAP database. Screens for third party coverage in FMMIS (Florida Medicaid Management Information System) Change HealthCare and Availity. Track and follow up with clients who have pending eligibility requirement issues. Review client files to ensure files contain the required documentation for determining client eligibility.

 

Assist with Quality assurance on each eligibility packet daily by using the QI validation tools.  Incumbent will verify eligibility packet are scanned into HMS and verifies that the required documents are attached in RW Portal and Provide Enterprise. Ensures that eligibility was conducted correctly and all the fields for data reporting were completed in all database systems as required by funder.

 

Sort and organize files prior to beginning scanning. Scan and attribute client’s eligibility packets into HMS daily. Review documents to ensure that all are present and prepared in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure all supporting documentation is present.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
  2. Experience using the following Electronic Health Records HMS, QFLOW, and Provide Enterprise.
  3. Experience working in an ADAP Program.
  4. Experience interacting with customers in person or via telephone.
  5. Experience conducting data entry.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Experience with HIV/AIDS, STDs and TB related issues.
  2. Experience dealing with confidential information or medical records.
  3. Experience providing case management.
