The Quality Assurance Support Specialist will assist in managing and maintaining the company’s policies and procedures. Assists in conducting compliance reviews of internal controls and procedures in all areas of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health program including the governing rules and statues; Chapter 65D-30, F.A.C and Chapter 397, F.S.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of internal policies and procedures based on the Florida rules and statutes to ensure administrative licensing review process compliance by Licensure staff.
  • Prepares and submits for review reports on the results of audits; may make recommendations improvements in policies and procedures.
  • In conjunction with the Program Director, Coordinator and Lead Licensing Specialist works with the Licensing Specialist regarding communication, development, methodologies and other related internal control matters.
  • Assist in providing training and guidance to Licensure Specialist. 
  • Create and maintain internal resource bank with the development of letters, emails, and program specific templates.
  • Assist the Lead Senior Program Human Services Specialist and Quality Assurance Specialist with conducting complaint investigations, reporting the findings and corrective action plan follow up. 
  • Complete a review of licensure inspections, understand the department statues, rules and policies as it relates to the issuance of violations and fines.
  • Assist in the development of special department projects and work in conjunction with the Substance Abuse Coordinator and Lead Senior Program Human Services Specialist.
  • Educate and instruct licensure staff in recommended quality improvement practices.
  • Consult with Substance Abuse and Mental Health Southeast Regional Director and Substance Abuse Coordinator on operational processes to improve overall quality.


Travel is required within the Southeast Region (Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, Indian River and St. Lucie Counties).

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
