Class title: Senior Management Analyst Supervisor - SES

This is a full-time Selected Exempt Service position. 

Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday. 

Location: Open statewide. The position location will be based on selected candidate. 

THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Must be a current FL Economic Self Sufficiency Program (ESS) DCF employee.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working in the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Economic Self Sufficiency Program (ESS) determining eligibility or policy applications for any of the public assistance programs (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, Medicaid, or Refugee Assistance).
  • A valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel regularly, including overnight travel. 

 

Preference may be given to candidates that meet the following criteria: 

  • A minimum of 1+ year experience in a supervisory capacity in the ESS program.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience identifying deficiencies in program operations and assisting in the development or implementation of corrective action plans.
  • A minimum of 1+ year experience monitoring and/or reviewing cases for accuracy and correct eligibility for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, and Medicaid policy.

Job Description: Quality Team – Senior Management Analyst Supervisor - SES

This is a highly responsible professional position within the Office of Economic Self Sufficiency Regional Program Office, focused on program planning and operational improvement. The role involves supervising and directing employees, with primary duties centered on communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating staff, as well as planning and directing their work. The incumbent has the authority to effectively recommend personnel actions such as hiring, transferring, suspending, laying off, promoting, discharging, assigning work, and administering rewards or discipline. The position also includes evaluating employees against established standards and taking appropriate actions when necessary (e.g., recognition, rewards, or corrective measures).

 

This role requires advanced expertise in the Economic Self Sufficiency (ESS) program areas, including in-depth knowledge of program concepts, policies, operational procedures, and eligibility systems. The position is responsible for the planning, development, and assessment of Operational Quality Assurance (QA) and review activities related to the administration of ESS programs. It also involves coordination with other Department of Children and Families program offices and partner agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely services.
