This is advanced professional work assessing and developing Child Protective Investigators (CPIs) to ensure proficient level of professional competencies.  This position will work in cooperation with CPI Supervisors and management in promoting the development of knowledge, skills, and their application for CPIs.

  • Review investigations in order to ensure that critical information is provided to the Child Protective Investigator (CPI) and Child Protective Investigator Supervisor (CPIS) during the course of the investigation.
  • Assist in identifying and facilitating the collection of any information that is needed to ensure critical information is assessed in an expeditious manner.
  • In the event that additional information is identified during the Pre-Commencement and/or follow up consultations, the “brain” will request and review any records pertinent to the assessment of the family.
  • The “brain” will also be responsible for coordinating appointments that impact the assessment of the family such as Child Protection Team and/or referrals to service providers.
  • During the investigative process, the “brain” will meet with the CPI, the CPI Supervisor, and as needed or required by policy, code or statute, the Operations Program Administrator to elevate concerns based on record reviews or additional information received.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in child protective investigations;

 

This position will be based in the Fort Myers office in Lee County. The position pays $1700 biweekly. The salary is non-negotiable. It is important the candidate has knowledge of Excel, CCIS, DAVID, FSFN, ETC. It will also be important for the candidate to be able to assess information for patterns, impacts and potential danger threats. The candidate will be required to discuss the information collected with Child Protective Investigators, Child Protective Investigator Supervisors and Program Administrators.
