Southeast Region, Circuit 19 Operations Review Specialist

 

About the position

The Operations Review Specialist is a highly responsible professional role in the Southeast Region Program Office, requiring extensive knowledge of child abuse and neglect dynamics, relevant laws, and policies. The position involves facilitating multi-disciplinary staffings, delivering trainings, conducting case reviews, analyzing data, and providing technical assistance and quality improvement functions for the Child Protective Investigations program.

 

This position is based in the SER and will report to one of the Circuit 19 service centers. The actual salary will be determined based on broadband guidelines and internal salary policies.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate multi-disciplinary staffings to provide technical assistance and support to CPI Investigations according to CFOP and regional processes.
  2. Prepare and provide training to regional staff as needed.
  3. Complete various types of case reviews to determine compliance with laws, rules, policies, and procedures as assigned.
  4. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and special projects, including data collection, reporting and analysis as determined by regional needs.
  5. Provide consultation to Management and Operations regarding technical, systems related, or process related topics or reviews.
  6. Assist in developing monitoring instruments along with developing of tracking systems when required.
  7. Develop, prepare, and assist with rollout of program policies, procedures, manuals, and standards, as assigned. 
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position

Proficiency in CCWIS, FSFN, Microsoft Word, and Excel are required; Familiarity with FSFN reporting environment; Detail-oriented; Knowledge of federal and state laws and policies regarding child welfare services; Knowledge of practices regarding child welfare services, behavioral health, substance use disorders, domestic violence, medical neglect, and institutional investigations; Exceptional critical thinking skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Strong communication skills, verbal and written; Knowledge of all program areas within the department; Experience conducting case reviews; Ability to maintain flexibility in modifying types of reviews; Understanding of continuous quality improvement processes and integration across programs.

 

 

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Current/Active Child Protection Certification from the FCB
  3. Minimum 5 years of child welfare experience, with 3 years in child protective investigations
  4. Proficiency in CCWIS, FSFN, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
