Position Summary
This position is responsible for spending the majority of time supervising professional employees and providing technical assistance and analysis of the Provider Development Unit. The primary duties center around monitoring and communication with, motivating, training and evaluating employees, planning and directing their work; having authority to hire, transfer, suspend, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees, or effectively recommend such actions.
The Work You Will Do
The incumbent oversees the operation of the Provider Development Unit including Provider Enrollment, Provider Training, Qualified Organizations, Provider Liaison, Incident Management, and Residential Planning for the Region. Assists Regional Operations Manager and/or Regional Program Administrator in managing the Provider Development Unit. Meets assigned deadlines for ad-hoc initiatives and requested reports as assigned by management.
Initiates and maintains open communication with the community, service providers and stakeholders. Actively participates in the onsite and virtual regional quarterly provider meetings, waiver support coordination monthly meetings, and Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) regional meetings. Serves as the Region’s liaison with the QIO.
Ensures follow up occurs for incident reports, ensures wellness visits are conducted as required by Agency Operating Procedure and ensures incident reports are closed within required timeframes.
Oversees the provider remediation process. Ensures that deficiencies identified by the QIO, untimely incident reporting, WSC ethical violations, and provider complaints that are remediated within the required timeframes.
Ensures that identified ethical violations involving waiver support coordinators are submitted to State office for review within required timeframes.
Ensures that Provider Adverse Action Request forms (PAARF) are developed, routed and submitted for review to State Office as identified.
Ensures that iBudget waiver provider applications are reviewed, tracked and completed within required timeframes. Ensures tracking is maintained of all existing enrolled iBudget waiver providers and ensures that Medicaid Waiver Service Agreements are renewed prior to expiration date.
Performs other duties as necessary to support the Region office functions, including, but not limited to; serving as back up staff for other Region staff, and duties required during an emergency as specified in the Region Emergency Plan.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or four years experience in quality management activities.
- Valid Driver’s license or reliable form of transportation to conduct work activities.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

- Working background in Quality Systems.
- Methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating staff.
- The structure and content of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Background Screening Requirement
