JOB SUMMARY:

This position performs region budget management activities and is an excellent fit for self-motivated critical thinkers. If you enjoy managing a large budget for several locations, this may be the position for you. Your duties would include:

  • Managing a $6.9 million dollar budget in a seven-county region
  • Using technology to track, research, and reconcile budget activities
  • Coordinating with Program Office and Department budget teams
  • Planning and coordinating facilities management and/or office moves
  • Communicating and providing detailed information using a variety of methods including reports, presentations, and correspondence to internal and/or external customers and vendors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue. 
  • Employment experience managing budgets.
  • One year of employment experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Employment experience in planning and coordinating facilities management and/or office moves.
  • Employment experience communicating and providing detailed information, using a variety of methods (report writing, public speaking, correspondence, conflict resolution) to a diverse internal and/or external customers and vendors.

PREFERENCES:

  • A minimum one (1) year of employment experience with the State of Florida budget.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Standard workday of 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.
  • This role is eligible for part-time telework after you complete required training and reach an acceptable level of proficiency.
  • This position can be housed in any of the following Region 5 CSP service sites: Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or Fort Myers.
  • This position requires periodic daytime travel to various sites.  Mileage will be reimbursed according to Revenue policy.  Required to provide own means of transportation.

SALARY: $45,060.12 - $62,887.32 / annually
