The Systems Integration and Development Department is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly motivated individual to join our team. This Individual will hold a key role in our development group with significant impact on project management, implementation, and system maintenance.

 

POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

This position is primarily responsible for initiating, analyzing, developing, testing, and implementing enhancements for our case management system (IJIS). The Systems Development Project Specialist will coordinate with system analysts, programmers, office committees, and divisions throughout the agency to help develop solutions, system enhancements, procedures, and training to evolve productivity of our case management system and associated databases.

 

This position may require occasional travel to other sites or offices to demonstrate system enhancements and to attend meetings, seminars, or classes.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Take lead in managing incoming requests for system enhancements

Monitor incoming tickets and emails for IJIS related issues and act as front-line support in the resolution of those issues

Coordinate the testing and implementation of new IJIS features and releases

Assist the Training and Development Coordinator and Quality Assurance Director in establishing training guides and procedures

Assist with new hire training and Data Integrity requests, as needed

Participate in office and team projects, as needed

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and any combination of training and experience equivalent to graduation from a standard high school or an equivalency diploma.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

Ability to take initiative while working both independently and in a team environment

Ability to work and make decisions under pressure and meet all deadlines, goals and objectives set forth

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Knowledge of software tools and utilities, including, but limited to, Microsoft Suites and IJIS

Respond quickly and collaborate with necessary teams to ensure high quality and on-time deliverables

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, staff, partner agencies, and the public
