Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of professional direct experience in an administrative support position. An assocoates’ degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
One or more years of working with Pcard Works
One or more years of experience with the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) and state account coding
One or more years of experience working with the state of Florida purchasing processes including MyFloridaMarketplace and purchase orders
Requirements:
Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.
Office hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
In this position, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a team assisting wildlife researchers with the administrative tasks necessary for making purchases following all state of Florida purchasing processes and rules. Will also assist facility maintenance and other staff procure services and commodities to manage the facility and equipment. Duties will include securing purchasing quotes and requesting purchase orders and submitting MyFloridaMarketPlace invoices for payments; assisting as needed with negotiation of maintenance contracts for the Gainesville Lab facility and office equipment; acting as contact for securing new or renewal state of Florida Purchasing Cards (Pcards); checking, submitting, and tracking Pcard documents to follow-up as necessary; submitting completed Cardholder Acknowledgement Forms; serving as Pcard Advocate (auditor) for Pcard charges entered into Pcard Works by Section staff; assisting Wildlife Research staff and/or vendor to rectify problems with purchase charges; providing information to unregistered vendors for MyFloridaMarketPlace registration; answering questions and providing information for adherence to the Purchasing and Accounting policies and procedures; serving as the information source for the list of registered vendors for products and services needed by staff and respond to inquiries from staff regarding items on State contract; completing annual reports relating to purchasing as needed; assisting with the office management of the facility & acting as backup for other support staff.
