This is work providing religious services and counseling to individuals at institutions.  This is professional work providing an array of religious services to resident and family customers. 


REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in theology, religion, education, or one of the social or behavioral sciences, or education or graduation from a seminary or school of theology; and the following:

-Ordination, or investment officially with ministerial or priestly authority by an ecclesiastical body and;

-A current written approbation or endorsement by the appropriate official of the ecclesiastical body; and

-One year of experience in conducting religious services or in providing counseling or guidance relating to the ministry.


 -Be responsible for preparing and conducting religious services including holiday and special church seasonal programs, bible study, and life-value group activities within the hospital setting.  Will coordinate with external religious leaders to seek and provide religious materials and services of various religions, as requested by residents. 

-Provide counseling with residents and their families regarding religious subjects.

-Perform needed services and document progress for residents' who are referred for specific issues related to religious matters.  Prepares and submits monthly reports.

-Performs visits to residents at an outside hospital/facility when they are still in the care of NFETC.

-Performs or coordinates a variety of religious services or devotions such as bible study courses, confessions, baptisms, communions, and anointing of the sick.


- Knowledge of theological theories, philosophies and systems.

- Knowledge of counseling and interviewing techniques.

-Ability to conduct a variety of religious services and activities.

-Ability to provide counseling or guidance to others.

-Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.

-Ability to communicate effectively.

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
