FOOD CONTROL SPECIALIST (TRAY LINE)

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

This is work procuring, checking quality, and issuing food at the Food Service Department. This is to include but not limited to the following:

Ensure textures and consistencies are correct before portioning food items at tray line station during the assembly of meal trays. Assist with preparation of meals including but not limited to opening cans, using equipment to prepare textures, following recipes to prepare a meal item. Ensure proper amount of food has been issued to tray line according to production sheets at the beginning of each meal.

Ensure work area is clean and sanitized always. Hair nets and gloves must be worn always an on-going basis.

Operate dish washing machine during the cleaning and sanitizing of serving equipment. Monitor machine chemicals and record temperatures in log. Report variances to supervisor when discovered.

Assemble bulk food items/snacks/salads and prepped food items for tray line as assigned.

Perform specific cleaning duties, and cashier duties as assigned.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.
