OPS HOUSEKEEPER

APD TACACHALE

GAINESVILLE FLORIDA

The incumbent in this position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Sweeps, mops or vacuums all floor areas moving furniture and equipment as necessary. Dusts, cleans and disinfects all surface areas, furniture, household appliances and floors. Cleans windows and window screens. Maintains the outside of the building in a presentable manner by sweeping and cleaning the walkways as necessary.

Cleans and sanitizes all bathroom areas. Restocks the paper products (toilet tissue and paper towel). Empties trash cans daily and replaces with a clean liner. Ensures soap dispensers are filled.

Attends training and in-service training as required.

In case of an emergency or staff shortage, assists other Custodial Workers as requested by supervisor.

Ensures supply closet is stocked with necessary cleaning products; replace items that have been depleted.

Performs other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of correct chemicals used in cleaning.

Knowledge of the Clorox Green Works Systems.

Skill to communicate verbally and in writing.

Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Knowledge and ability to use buffer machine and vacuum cleaners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)

You must have a valid Driver’s License to apply for this position. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver’s license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have “Corrective Lenses Restricted,” are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
