SENIOR MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR

APD TACACHALE

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

Load, deliver and pick up food trays, snacks, and milk and juice to resident homes according to pre-established time and route schedule.  Retrieve soiled dishes and trays from all homes as well as any food service dishware that may have been left at the home's kitchen.  Follow established procedures including maintaining accurate vehicle logs for performing these functions.  Use assigned vehicle properly and as directed to make deliveries.  Safely drive assigned motor vehicle ensuring daily safety check of lights, brakes, oil level and gas fill-up are in compliance. Ensure keys to vehicles are returned to proper place when not being used. 

Assist in cleaning and sanitizing the food service department.  Sweep and mop food service building areas as assigned.  Remove trash from all areas, keep kitchen areas clean and sanitary. Remove trash and cardboard from kitchen and take to appropriate areas (recycling/dumpsters). 

Ensure food trucks are clean and sanitized after delivery of each meal.  Ensure dumpsters remain locked at all times.  Ensure back docks are kept clean along with the pavement and grounds surrounding the truck area when the trucks are parked on a daily and ongoing basis. Ensure vehicle logs are completed daily and turned into to MVO Food Service Administrator.  Ensure trucks are filled gasoline every Tuesday and Thursday before the end of the working shift.

Work pot room as assigned.    

Perform other related duties as assigned    

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.    This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
