The State Attorney, Eighth Judicial Circuit, is currently accepting applications for a

Legal Assistant I for our Alachua County Florida office.

This position is responsible for a wide variety of office duties including maintaining files, setting meetings, and addressing any attorney requests.  Applicants should possess knowledge of legal terminology and be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. An applicant must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and adapt to changing situations as well as exhibit a willingness to perform other tasks as assigned.  The successful candidate will be ready to work as part of a team and be capable of independent judgment.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Education: Standard high school diploma or equivalency and 2 years secretarial experience; an equivalent combination of both can be substituted for required experience. Legal secretarial experience is preferred.
