VOCATIONAL TRAINING SUPERVISOR II

APD - TACACHALE INTEGRATED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Starlight Industries Worksite at Tacachale

Plans workloads and sets deadlines

Monitors work

Monitors incomes and expenses

Provides technical assistance

Ensures productivity

Coordinates and assists staff

Supervises staff and residents

Maintains compliance with AHCA and OSHA standards (safe, clean environment) while   delivering active treatment

Evaluates staff

Maintains quality control

Maintains records

Oversees resident and staff timesheets

Oversees resident documentation

Ensures deadlines are met

Serves as member of the interdisciplinary team

Ensures completion of biannual time studies

Attends meetings and trainings

Performs other related duties as assigned

Attends in-service training and other staff meetings as necessary.

Attends mandatory training and/or maintains certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies (P.A.S.S.), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Direct Care In-Service

Completes annual health screening

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to supervise

Ability to plan and coordinate work assignments

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Ability to operate a forklift

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Knowledge of intermediate care facility standards

Ability to take, pass and maintain certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies (P.A.S.S.), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Direct Care In-Service

Ability to lift at least 40 pounds

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)

A valid Florida Driver’s License to apply for this position. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver’s license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose / Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have “Corrective Lenses Restricted,” are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

One year or more experience working directly with intellectually disabled adults.

 

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is located at a 24- hour facility.  The assigned shift is from 8:00 AM, to 5:00 PM. Off days are Saturday and Sunday.
