Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Pasco County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation. Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to incorporate the agency values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness and Excellence in all aspects of their work.

This position is hands-on Information Technology (IT) work installing, maintaining, and supporting networked Windows desktop systems and peripheral devices including the configuration and support of Microsoft 365 as well as other IT standard programs and applications. The primary responsibility of the incumbent will be to answer technical support requests made to the Information Technology department and to enqueue Help Tickets for all customer interactions based on the priority of the incident and its complexity, referring issues that require escalation to the appropriate team member. The work is performed through a combination of technical remote control methods (when possible) or traveling within Pasco County. Use of personal car may be required. The position also helps in maintaining the network environment in a working and orderly condition. Incumbents may also assist other network support staff to install and implement network equipment and configuration changes.

Manage users in Active Directory (AD) objects and containers timely creating, updating, and deleting user accounts and ensuring that DOH standards are consistently applied and enforced. Conducts initial IT security training for onboarding staff.

Performs as the Health Management System (HMS) System Administrator creating, updating and deleting accounts and ensuring that updates are communicated to end users in a timely manner.

Generates HMS reports and assists department managers with system table maintenance, billing administration and lab maintenance activity.

Act as a backup to maintain and administer web pages for Pasco CHD intranet and internet websites.

Assists in the maintenance, updates and documents computer inventory including local asset database and DOH Asset Management System performing a physical inventory at least once per year ensuring all items are accounted for.

Assists in the design and configuration of an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business/office requirements in compliance with DOH policies and procedures.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

 

Minimum: 

  • Must have a valid FL Driver’s License.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, and related field.
