Your Specific Responsibilities:

The Operations Consultant (Staff Development and Training) is of the public health agency responsible for enhancing/supporting the health of the organization's culture and the well-being of its people. This position will focus on strengthening workforce planning, systems, processes, and policies. Conduct quality improvement on existing systems or processes to identify areas ripe or change and track outcomes associated with changes made. Create or modify staff positions within the organization o focus on key crosscutting workforce issues, such as staff engagement; diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility; succession planning and career pathways; and workforce science and forecasting. Create workforce development boards and other new organizational structures and teams, to guide and implement a comprehensive workforce development strategy. The Operations Consultant will assist and support the Staff Development Training Consultant, our Public Information Officer, and our Community Health Promotions Program. The Operations Consultant mission is to attend to cultural health and workforce well­ being.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Assist the Staff Development Training Consultant in various task and projects as needed.

Assist the Public Information Officer in various task and projects such as creation of materials and graphics using Canva, Adobe, PowerPoint, WeVideo, Qualtrics, Handshake, Articulate, and Power Automate. Helps with marketing materials for other CHD Divisions, brochures, flyers, website updates and other social media posts using Twitter and Next Door.

Assist in marketing the County Health Departments services, public health messaging, customer satisfaction surveys.

 Assists in the editing of our internal newsletter and any flyers, create, and update our internal monitors for staff and clients with relevant content, assists with departmental shooting and editing of videos, and keep our Community Outreach SharePoint page up to date.

Serves on the DOH-Pasco Employee Engagement Committee, Staff Enrichment Planning Committee, All Hazards Day Planning Committee, and others as needed.

Conducts community presentations, attends outreaches, and community fairs as needed.

Serves as the outreach coordinator for DOH-Pasco which includes but not limited to coordination of community outreach event process by directing related communications, maintaining master calendar, managing evaluation component, maintaining database, and producing regular reports.

Assists Community Health Promotion Program with projects such as: Healthy Communities, Maternal and Child Health, Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan when needed.

 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum: Qualifying experience in one of the fields or roles listed below may be substituted for the educational preference at a rate of one year of experience for one year of education.

Prefered: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education, Health, Psychology, Technology, Business, Communications, or a closely allied field.
