MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 

A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of secretarial or clerical work experience.
 

College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for the required work experience.
 

Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for the required work experience.
 

Requires possession of a valid Driver License.

JOB DUTIES:
 

Compile, prepare and submit market financial and commodity reports. Prepare purchase requisitions and purchasing card documentation and process invoices for payment. Prepare billing documents and record payments. Prepare bank deposits and related reports, and maintain pre-numbered receipts inventory.

 

Operate truck scales where available, issue certified weight tickets, record and collect fees, balance scale drawer and prepare related pre-numbered revenue receipts. Record and monitor used and unused scale tickets. 
 

Prepare and maintain expense and revenue ledgers using Excel, Word or other related software.
 

Complete other assignments as directed by the supervisor.

 

Serve as market receptionist greeting and directing visitors, answering telephones and taking messages. Receive and distribute mail. Prepare correspondence and vehicle operation reports.
 

Organize and maintain records, filing systems and inventories.
 

Advise market manager of incidents or conditions in the office and at the market. Receive and record complaints and comments from market tenants and the general public.
 

Perform minor custodial duties within the market office.
