The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First DCA Region, Jacksonville Office, is seeking a full-time civil attorney responsible for a Dependency case load and other civil matters such as Adult Protective Services.  The attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, including trials and any initial appellate filings, if necessary.  Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research, preparing legal documents and filings, participating in Mediations, conferring with other attorneys and social workers involved, and providing ongoing assessments of the merits of a case.  This opening is for a position in the 4th Circuit and travel may be necessary. 

 

Must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar; Must have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and writing skills; Must have ability to compassionately represent clients in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team on behalf of the client.

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
