The Senior Clerk position serves as a staff support for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and may assist with other nutrition programs. He/she provides services in the WIC Program in accordance with the policies of the state WIC Program and regulations as stated in OHM 150-24. Work is performed under the supervision of the Operations Management Consultant Manager-SES.
Answers calls made to the Nutrition and Chronic Disease Prevention call center. Gather information to determine appointment needs and make the appropriate appointment. Inform clients of what to bring to their appointments, appointment times, date, and location. Perform general clerical and reception office duties to maintain the flow of incoming and outgoing services.

Attend mandatory and scheduled trainings. Accurate and timely submission of Employee Activity Record (EARs), time records, travel logs, monthly report of activities, referrals, and other reports are submitted to the NCDP office. Answers telephones, filing, purge records, and perform travel in relation to above duties and for professional development. Maintain a courteous and cooperative working relationship with the staff, clients, and other Health Department staff always. Participate in the Florida Department of Health Duval County Nutrition and Chronic Disease Prevention Disaster Plan as required.
