Legal Assistant III - Job Duties:

 

  • Performs duties of Legal Assistant I & II.
  • Serves as administrative assistant by planning, initiating, and carrying to completion clerical, secretarial, and administrative activities.
  • Answers questions which may involve the interpretation of policies and procedures.
  • Assists in training LA I & LAII as needed.
  • Provides administrative support for Assistant State Attorneys.
  • Prepares Court Calendars daily
  • Assigns Investigative files, Investigative Subpoena files, Arrest Warrant files
  • Prepares legal documents including subpoenas, Information’s, TCC’s, Program Referrals, and Drop Notices.
  • E-files/Eservices documents
  • Uploads documents to image tab
  • Inputs case related information into STAC database.
  • Handles incoming mail and calls related to court cases.
  • Performs any and all duties as required.

Position Requirements:

 

High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of secretarial/clerical experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
