POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Information Technology Services Division, Customer Service Administration team, Regional Systems Administration Section in Jacksonville Florida. This is a full-time position that works closely with subject-matter experts. This position is critical to ITS and the Department as it is an integral part of the Regional Systems Administration (Jacksonville Florida) team. This position works with other members of the regional teams to provide support for public safety and criminal justice systems and users within FDLE. This technician will be one of a team that is going to continue to enhance and streamline our end user management process.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
- Providing a high level of professional and courteous customer service;
- Troubleshooting and resolving reported technical issues related to software, hardware, and related peripherals;
- Working with vendor help desk personnel to resolve problems with vendor operating system or application software;
- Assisting in the coordination of standard implementation of policies, procedures and system operations;
- Combining evaluations and reasonings with information and data to make decisions and solve problems;
- Conducting research to support the planning and enhancement of the distributed computer systems, enterprise deployment and system configuration solutions; and
- Controlling computer functions by using programs, setting up functions, script writing software, or otherwise communicating with computer systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment;
- Knowledge of Group Policy Objects;
- Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
- Knowledge of Air watch Mobile Device Management;
- Knowledge of Enterprise centrally managed desktop deployment solutions;
- Knowledge of information security best practices;
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: public safety, security operations, rules, regulations, precautions, prevention, protection of people, data and property;
- Skilled in enterprise desktop software distribution solutions;
- Skilled in Window scripting techniques;
- Ability to deploy and and implament enterprise desktop operating system deployment solutions. (Symantec Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents remotely;
- Ability to develop training programs related to distributed systems components;
- Ability to install and configure server operating systems;
- Ability to communicating effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the audience;
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job;
- Ability to plan, organizes, and coordinates work assignments; and
- Ability to focus on getting things done and handle multiple priorities.
BASE SALARY:
- $48,667.50

FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants.
