Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 2 years of professional experience in an administrative support position with a responsibility for handling customer service; or
an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of customer service and administrative experience.
Expertise in Microsoft including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently as well as in groups to achieve program and agency goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
One or more years of working in the field of customer service and outreach
One or more years of experience working with the State of Florida’s Purchasing System (MFMP, Pcard Works)
Experience working with the fishing community
Excellent oral and written communications
Passion for the outdoors

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.
Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Description of Duties:
As a key member of the TrophyCatch program, this position will provide administrative support to a team passionate about the conservation of Florida bass through this citizen science program. This position requires a passion for conservation, dedication to providing exceptional customer service to a diverse stakeholder base, and ability to work at a high level to accomplish administrative duties.
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the TrophyCatch program within the Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management. This support primarily involves providing exceptional customer service for TrophyCatch participants, managing promotional items, outreach efforts management, and monthly prize distributions. In addition, provide support to the TrophyCatch team processing Pcard purchases, paying invoices, monitoring and tracking inventory, and ordering supplies. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services’ rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
- Maintains current information of division policies and programs and processes routine matters within established policies.
- Performs customer services responsibilities for the TrophyCatch program via phone, email, or written correspondence.
- Responsible for communicating effectively and efficiently with program stakeholders.
- Assists with identifying and drafting content for social media.
- Responsible for assisting program participants with submission process or other website inquiries that are applicable.
- Responsible for knowing the TrophyCatch program including rules, partners, and prizes.
- Monitors and maintains an inventory of TrophyCatch promotional items.
- Works within the division to ensure each region/hatchery has promotional items for outreach events.
- Responsible for monthly mailings to TrophyCatch prize winners.
- Responsible for maintaining and outreach calendar of events including coordination with each region/hatchery.
- Assists in monitoring and managing annual TrophyCatch program budget.
- Assists in conducting daily administrative activities and or directing special projects or activities.
- May participate in TrophyCatch outreach events as appropriate.
- Performs related work as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
