FORENSIC FAMILY ADVOCATE/FORENSIC SOCIAL WORKER

The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, Region One (RC1) is seeking a full-time Social Worker in the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida. A Forensic Family Advocate or Social Worker provides ongoing support and guidance to indigent dependency clients who are represented by RC1. They collaborate with the attorney and client as part of a legal team to provide support and guidance to the client as they navigate through the dependency process. The RC1 Social Services program is titled the Parent Support Specialist Program. 

The position is based in the Lake City office, and travel and attendance at court hearings may be required to any of the counties within the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida.  RC1 pays for travel reimbursement, and the position is a full-time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits. 

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE  

A bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent mental health degree from an accredited university. Experience in child welfare or the dependency system is preferred.

Starting Salary $41,500
