Starting Annual Salary Range: $34,820.24 - $48,364.94

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse
  • Valid CPR Card from a classroom setting
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule to train all shifts
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a trainer in a Healthcare facility
  • Successful completion of Background Screening Process, Drug Test and due diligence process.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years training in a position that training was the primary function of the position.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

  • Develop, implement and maintain a written framework of staff educational plan that promotes the growth and development of its licensed and unlicensed staff.  Establish and maintain an Infection Control Program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of disease and infection in the facility through monitoring and coordination with the medical team. 
  • Develop, coordinate and monitor facility orientation and continuing education program, including preparation of comprehensive curriculum, pre- and post-testing materials, scheduling, and recordkeeping requirements. 
  • Identify, analyze, and provide training for individualized needs identified as a result of posttest/performance monitoring. 
  • Monitor facility infection control program, including employee health, as well as execution of all recordkeeping requirements. 
  • Arrange and conduct orientation classes for all newly hired personnel. 
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.  Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support, and perform this skill when necessary.  
  • Research and development of regularly updated resource guide of professional training opportunities available to facility personnel.

 

This position is in the Career Service System.
