  • Must have at least (1) one year cook experience in  commercial style cooking not to include fast food.
  • Must have at least (1) one year of supervisory experience.
  • Willing and able to work 10 hour shifts.
  • Willing and able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Willing and able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must successfully complete of Background Screening Process to include, but not limited to a drug test and finger printing.
  • Must be willing to participate in direct deposit.
  • Willing and able to become a Certified Food Manager upon ‎hire (training will be provided at the facility).‎
  • Willing and able to work in Lake City, FL.



The Food Service Administrator will be responsible for the complete pre-preparation, preparation and food production for meals assigned, as well as staffing and assignment of duties for the shift.

The Food Service Administrator will train staff in methods of performing their duties in an effective and efficient manner and motivate employees to obtain maximum quality and quantity of work.  Ensure compliance with State and facility safety procedures in the operation of food production and cleaning of equipment.

The Food Service Administrator will ensure that clean and sanitary conditions are maintained in all areas of the kitchen food preparation and serving lines.

The Food Service Administrator will ensure that staff is instructed on proper precautions of food preparation, storage and disposal and provided instruction and information on personal hygiene. 

The Food Service Administrator will assist in the oversight of the proper care and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.

In the absence of the Food Service Director, the Food Service Administrator will direct a staff of Food Support Workers and Support Service Aides in the food preparation and meal service, will coordinate with the Food Service Director identified training needs and provide related training to the kitchen staff on food preparation, food storage, etc. 

The Food Service Administrator will attend in-service training.

The Food Service Administrator will assist with purchase requests for food, cleaning supplies, utensils, pots and pans, dishes and paper products in the kitchen. The FPSS will maintain, check, and control kitchen inventory to determine quantities available as well as amounts needed for operation. The FPSS will verify incoming shipments and receipts in the absence of stock person.

The Food Service Administrator will consult with the Consultant Dietician and Food Service Director to ascertain the nutritional needs of the domiciliary residents.

The Food Service Administrator will perform other related duties as required.

This is an OPS (Temporary) position.
