MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be willing and able to work some weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Must have current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License and CPR card.
  • Must be willing and able to drive a 15 passenger facility van. The candidate must have a clear/valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Must be fluent in the English Language: Reading, Writing, Speaking.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have good computer skills.
  • Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening to include, but not limited to finger printing and a drug test.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a long-term care environment with a geriatric population.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Performs the duties of the Activities Director when the Activities Director is unavailable.  Reports directly to the Activities Director.  Assist with developing, providing, implementation and properly documenting an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident on a daily basis including personal contact with a varying resident population and a varied work schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. 

Assist with developing and implementation a program which improves or maintains physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of the resident. 

Assist with development an activities plan for each resident in accordance with the inter-disciplinary team process.  Responsible for the documentation of that plan in the resident’s medical record.  Responsible for initial interview with new residents and input of resident data into the medical record.

Performing duties of the Activities Director when the Activities Director is unavailable.

Responsible for the activity space and requesting of, equipment and supplies for the program and that they are safe and adequate for individual and/or group activities.

Perform other duties as required by Activities Director. 

This position is an OPS (temporary) position.
