Annual Base Salary: $58,797 - $63,965
Paid Bi-Weekly

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II with a discipline in infrastructure for the Agency and reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 4+ Years’ current hands on configuration experience of circuits, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- 4+ Years’ current hands on configuration experience BGP, OSPF, Public/Private/Hybrid VRFs, VoIP, VOD, and WiFi.
- 4+ years’ enforcing security best practices, data governance, and ITIL framework.
- 4+ years’ current hand on mentoring, team building, and supervision of a diverse team.
- Possess and maintain current driver’s license and have the ability to travel within the state of Florida.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing FDVA Cloud and Enterprise systems at an overall uptime rates consistent with established norms. Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning infrastructure operations; i.e., PaaS, SaaS, Transport, VoIP, VOD, VSaaS, etc. Mentors and leads the infrastructure staff including Cloud and on-prem server provisioning, network engineering, SaaS integrations, telephony, and web development. The incumbent practices agile project management principles, reviews and approves all change management request, and is responsible for all infrastructure projects. Ensures the adherence of RPO/RTO and COOP regarding technology for the FDVA performing other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of: IT strategic planning; system and network administration; people management; change management; data backup and recovery concepts/tools; disaster recovery and continuity of operations planning; monitoring; detection and remediation tools/procedures; system administration, operating system hardening techniques; current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures; system performance and availability measures or indicators; the type and frequency of routine maintenance needed to keep equipment functioning properly
- Skilled with/in: Analysis and research; preparing and presenting briefings/reports/policies, technical support and management; supporting network hardware/software for LAN/MAN/WAN/WiFi/Telco, creating policies that reflect system security objectives, and skill in using the appropriate tools for repairing software, hardware, and peripheral equipment of a system
- Ability to: Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing; work collaboratively or independently; attention to detail; identify and define user tasks/needs; plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments, process information logically and problem solving; analyze and interpret technical data, and complete tasks as assigned by the CIO
