Records Technician
Your specific Responsibilities:
This is a clerical support position for the Healthy Families program. The incumbent is required to priorities work daily and must meet time sensitive deadlines.

Maintains information for the program’s databases and various client tracking systems including the Electronic Health Record in HMS and the Healthy Families Florida (HFF) data base.

Registers new clients in the Electronic Health Record and HFF data bases, scans and imports documents into the Electronic Health Record.

Maintains standards and applicable regulations for personnel, electronic medical records management, and programmatic/funder requirements.

Produces HFF and other data base reports for the Healthy Families office.

Produces labels for documents that gets scanned into the Electronic Health Record.

Ensures that all rules and regulations are followed regarding Purchase Orders and AOD purchases. Maintains accurate records and inventory of all purchases.

Completes authorizations for travel the month prior to travel taking place and reviews mileage reimbursements submissions.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge and ability to use the copy/scanning machine to input forms, and documents into the client electronic health record in HMS

Knowledge of general office procedure and practices
-
Skill in typing

Ability to operate word processing equipment
-
Ability to use correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and format to produce letters and memos, and other standard business documents.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Qualifications:
Minimum
- 1 year experience working in a professional clerical/administrative role
- 1 year experience using various professional computer programs including e-mail, the Internet, and Microsoft Office.
- 1 year experience in answering phones in a business setting.
Preferred
- Experience using Health Management System
- Bilingual with written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish.
- Healthy Families program experience.
